You can pay with the reservist vacation voucher

Received a vacation voucher for your reserve service and want to turn it into a real getaway? Every vacation rental managed by SHOOKROON GROUP accepts payment with the IDF reservist vacation voucher card. The card — Cal's digital wallet (the Fighter card) — can only be used at businesses coded as "lodging," and each of our properties is coded exactly that way. That means you pay directly with the card at booking, get a tax invoice, and skip the forms and after-the-fact reimbursements.

If the voucher balance doesn't cover the full cost of the stay, no problem: pay part with the voucher and cover the difference with a personal card. That way you can upgrade to a larger apartment, add nights, or choose a sea-view property without compromising.

What is the reservist vacation voucher?

The vacation voucher is a recognition benefit from Israel's Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Finance and the IDF, under the "Shovrim Shigra" program, for reservists called up under Order 8 during the Swords of Iron war. It is loaded onto a digital credit card and intended for use in lodging and tourism across Israel.

Can I pay with the reservist vacation voucher at your rentals?
Yes. Every vacation rental managed by SHOOKROON GROUP is coded under the "lodging" merchant category, so you can pay with the IDF reservist vacation voucher card (Cal's digital credit card / Fighter card). Payment is made directly at the time of booking. Updated July 2026.
What is the IDF reservist vacation voucher?
The vacation voucher is a recognition benefit from Israel's Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Finance and the IDF (the "Shovrim Shigra" program) for reservists called up under Order 8 during the Swords of Iron war. It is loaded onto a digital credit card and intended for use at lodging and tourism businesses. Updated July 2026.
Who is eligible for the vacation voucher?
In general, reservists who accumulated about 60 days of Order 8 service (continuous or cumulative) from October 7, 2023 are eligible. In 2025 an additional voucher was granted to those who served a further 60 days. Eligibility and amount depend on the type of service (combat / combat support) and family status. Verify the full details on the official IDF reservist portal. Updated July 2026.
How much is loaded on the voucher?
The voucher amount ranges from roughly ₪1,050 to ₪4,500 depending on the type of service and family status. A combat soldier with a child up to age 14 receives the higher amount, while a non-combat reservist without children receives the lower amount. Amounts are approximate and should be verified on the reservist portal. Updated July 2026.
Where can the reservist vacation voucher be redeemed?
The voucher can be redeemed at any business coded as "lodging" — hotels, cabins, hostels, vacation rentals and Airbnb. All SHOOKROON GROUP rentals in Haifa, Akko, Nahariya, Netanya, the Galilee and the Carmel are coded as lodging and allow direct redemption.
Until when is the voucher valid?
The voucher card is valid until the end of 2027 or until the balance is fully used — whichever comes first. It is best to plan and redeem it in advance. Updated July 2026, verify on the reservist portal.
What if the voucher doesn't cover the full cost of the stay?
You can combine payments: pay part with the voucher card up to the available balance, and cover the difference with a personal credit card or another method. This lets you book a stay that costs more than the voucher balance.
Do I get an invoice for the voucher payment?
Yes. We issue a tax invoice for the stay, including the portion paid with the vacation voucher. There is no need for a reimbursement afterward — payment is made directly with the card at booking.
