You decided on Tuesday that you are travelling on Friday. The problem with a last-minute search is not the price — it is that most sites still show properties that have already gone. Every one of our properties in the north carries a live availability calendar fed straight from our booking system, so what you see as free genuinely is free.
Every property has a live availability calendar on its own page — click through and look at your dates.
Cannot find a free date? Call us — sometimes a cancellation comes through before the calendar catches up, and we manage further properties that are not all listed here.
Most of the frustration in a last-minute search comes down to one thing: sync lag. A property is listed on several platforms at once, someone books it on one of them, and the others carry on showing it as available for a few more hours. You call, you get excited, and you discover the date went yesterday. The closer the search is to the travel date, the more that gap hurts.
Every property page on our site embeds an availability calendar pulled directly from our reservation management system rather than from a hand-maintained list. That same system is the one that actually approves the booking, so the dates shown as free are the dates you can book. You can also see the price for your chosen dates before speaking to us at all.
The second thing that matters in an urgent search is who picks up. Our bookings are handled directly by us rather than through a call centre — when you ring at six in the evening to ask whether you can check in at ten tomorrow, someone answers who can actually decide. Early or late check-in is arranged in advance when the property is free from the previous evening.
In short: the smaller the property, the better the odds at short notice. Two- and three-bedroom apartments for a family of 4–8 frequently open up a few days ahead, particularly midweek. A whole villa or an apartment cluster for an extended family is almost always taken weeks in advance, especially at weekends and over holidays — those need planning ahead.
Time pressure is precisely what causes people to miss details that cost them later. Four things worth confirming even when you are rushing:
| What to check | Why it matters especially at the last minute |
|---|---|
| Minimum nights | Some properties carry a minimum-night rule that shifts with the season. A one-night stay is not always possible, and that is the most common surprise in an urgent booking. |
| Exact guest count | Maximum occupancy is a binding figure in the system. A booking that exceeds it will not be approved — even if the calendar shows the dates as free. |
| Cleaning fee | Charged once per stay, not per night. On a one- or two-night stay it affects the per-night cost far more than on a long stay. |
| Check-in time | If the property is occupied until the previous morning, an early check-in is not always possible. Worth asking before you plan your first day. |
Haifa is usually the best bet at short notice — we manage the largest number of properties there, spread from the Carmel through Hadar to Bat Galim, which gives the highest chance that something matches your dates. See all our Haifa apartments and what to do in Haifa with children.
Akko is particularly good for a short family break thanks to having both the sea and the Old City within walking distance — holiday apartments in Akko. The Carmel and Isfiya suit those who want quiet and nature instead of a city — the Carmel complex.

"A pleasure to meet service people who are genuinely pleasant and who understand both sides. The apartment is lovely, comfortable, well maintained, and gives you both a home and a hotel. We stayed with children and it was the easiest possible setup for managing them and for getting everywhere, public transport included."
Send us your dates and guest count — we will check what is genuinely free and come back with an answer and a price, usually within the hour.
