Some of the best family holidays are the ones where the whole family travels together — three generations, several sibling families, or a reunion. Because our properties are concentrated rather than scattered, we can host very large groups too: in Akko we manage neighbouring luxury apartments on the seafront for a group of up to 60 guests, and in Netanya a spacious villa for up to 16 — everyone together, with each family keeping its own private space. That is what turns a family holiday into a celebration weekend or a large family gathering, without splitting everyone across hotels.

How to choose a family holiday in the north — by the children's ages

A holiday in northern Israel looks completely different at every age, and that is the first thing worth deciding around. Below is what we actually see among our own guests.

A private family compound — when it beats several apartments

When several families arrive together, the first question is whether to take one private compound or several separate units. A private compound wins when you want a shared evening — one large kitchen, a living room everyone sits in, and a shared pool or yard. Several adjacent apartments win when each family wants its own privacy at night, with shared space during the day. We offer both: a whole villa in the Galilee and in Netanya, or a concentration of neighbouring apartments in Akko for a group of up to 60 guests.

A family holiday in Akko — the sea and the Old City within walking distance

Akko works particularly well with children because of how densely packed its attractions are: the Old City, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is within walking distance of the beach. The Templar tunnel, the Knights' Halls, the market and the port all sit a few hundred metres from one another, so a whole day passes without getting into the car — which is exactly what spares you the arguments with tired children.

For a large extended family, Akko holds our widest solution: a cluster of neighbouring apartments in the same residential buildings on the seafront, hosting up to 60 guests together. A family holiday in the Galilee — a pool, a yard and a Sea of Galilee view

The Galilee is the right call when the goal is for the children to spend most of the day outdoors rather than in the car. Villa Calma in Migdal is a whole villa with a private heated pool, a jacuzzi, two living rooms, two kitchens and a terrace with a panoramic view of the Sea of Galilee, hosting up to 18 guests — the largest family property we manage as a single unit.

That layout suits three generations especially well: two kitchens mean two groups can cook without colliding, and two living rooms mean the children can be loud in one while the adults sit in the other. The pool is private rather than shared, which materially changes how much supervision small children need.

A holiday in the north with children — what to know in advance

Seasons: July–August and the holidays are peak season and fill up weeks ahead; April–June and September–October are the sweet spot — comfortable weather, fewer crowds and lower prices. Distances: the north is compact, and from most of our properties you can reach the sea, a nature trail and a major attraction within a 40-minute drive — so you can sleep in one place and still see a great deal. Baby equipment: at most properties a travel cot and a baby bed can be arranged in advance, and at some a high chair as well. The equipment is not identical across properties, so please state the children's ages when booking so we can confirm exactly what is available.
