Akko is one of the most filmed places in Israel — sea walls, a port, a market and an old city on the water. What it lacks is a private, clean, managed space to shoot interiors in. Our apartments give exactly that: balconies with an open sea view, a ninth floor facing the Old City, and a beach apartment opposite Argaman.
The prices shown are nightly stay rates. A shoot day is quoted separately, based on the production and the crew size.
Need beds for the crew as well? See production crew accommodation, or large group hosting in Akko (up to 60 guests).
Akko gives a production two things at once: an exterior backdrop that is among the most recognisable in Israel — the sea wall, the port, the market and the Old City — and private apartments with open sea views where the interiors can be shot. Productions that come here usually need both on the same day.
Our apartments sit in the north of the city and along the shoreline rather than inside the Old City itself — and that is an operational advantage: parking, an elevator and reasonable access for equipment, a short drive from the historic look. Inside the Old City, almost none of that exists.
The second advantage is our density in the city. At Derekh HaYam 5 we manage two apartments in the same building — one on the ninth floor with a sea and Old City view, and one facing Argaman beach. On a two- or three-day shoot, that means set and crew base at a single address.
Our sleeping capacity in Akko reaches up to 60 guests across several properties in the city. For a larger production that means housing the whole crew in one city, through one contact and on one invoice. Full detail on the large group hosting in Akko page.
Old Akko, the sea wall, the port and the market are a short drive from the apartments; the Bahai Gardens in Akko are in the north of the city. Worth knowing: these are public spaces and heritage sites, and commercial filming there requires permission from whoever runs the site — the municipality, the Nature and Parks Authority or the conservation authority. We are responsible for the apartments only and do not arrange filming permits for public space, though we are happy to tell you what we have seen work for other productions.

"The view from the balcony is simply unreal, and the apartment was clean and tidy exactly as promised."
