Why a villa works for filming

A private villa gives a production full control of the site: nobody above you, no residents coming and going, and no shared lobby to coordinate around. In practice that means you can start early, work at a reasonable noise level and lay out equipment without blocking anyone's way.

The second advantage is the number of sets in one property. A villa with a pool, a garden, an outdoor kitchen, a living room and several bedrooms lets you shoot completely different scenes without moving the crew — and moves are exactly what makes productions expensive.

Our three properties in this category are deliberately different from each other. Blue Bay Mansion in Netanya is a family villa with a pool, jacuzzi, outdoor kitchen and a piano. Villa Calma in Migdal offers a heated pool and a panoramic view of the Sea of Galilee. Wood & Soul in Isfiya offers wooden cabins and a garden in the heart of the Carmel forest — a look with no substitute on the coastal plain.

Note the difference between sleeping capacity and event capacity

The figures above are sleeping capacities. Wood & Soul also has a separate event capacity of up to 100 guests — but that refers to an event in the garden and open space, not to sleeping. How many crew members may be on site on a shoot day is a third figure, agreed separately with each production.

Which villas can be rented for filming?
Three whole properties under our management: Blue Bay Mansion in Netanya (4 bedrooms, sleeps 16, pool and jacuzzi), Villa Calma in Migdal (4 bedrooms, sleeps 18, heated pool and Sea of Galilee view) and the Wood & Soul complex in Isfiya (wooden cabins and a garden, sleeps up to 14).
Can we shoot in the pool?
Yes — the pool is part of the property and is available to the production like the rest of the site. The only things worth agreeing in advance are heavy equipment around the water and the hours when the sun is where you need it.
How much does a shoot day at a villa cost?
There is no fixed rate card. A quote is built from the type of production, the length of the shoot, crew size, whether furniture needs moving, use of equipment and power, and any need for accommodation. A whole villa is priced differently from an apartment.
Do we get the whole property or only part of it?
The whole property. These are complete properties in a single booking — there is no division into units and no other guests on site during the shoot.
Is there a difference between sleeping capacity and shoot-day capacity?
Yes, and it matters. The figures here are approved sleeping capacities. How many people may be on the property on a shoot day is agreed separately with each production, based on crew size and equipment.
What about neighbours in the street?
A private villa removes neighbours above and below, but it still sits in a residential neighbourhood. Working hours and noise levels are agreed in advance as part of the booking, not improvised on the day.
Can the crew also sleep at the villa?
Yes. Blue Bay Mansion sleeps up to 16 and Villa Calma up to 18, so a multi-day production can shoot and sleep in the same property — or split across properties. See the crew accommodation page.
Where are the villas located?
Blue Bay Mansion is in Netanya, near the shore. Villa Calma is in Migdal in the Galilee, facing the Sea of Galilee. The Wood & Soul complex is in Isfiya, in the heart of the Carmel forests. All three are far apart and suit productions in different regions.
